Manchester United boss reluctant to spend
10:30 AM 23 November, 2009
Sir Alex Ferguson is reluctant to spend big in the January transfer market.

Despite leaving the majority of the £80million he received from the sale of Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid untouched, the Manchester United boss is refusing to be held to ransom.

"I'm in the same position as I was in the summer," said Ferguson.

"There are a lot of players out there, all valued by their current clubs at £50million. Given the prices being asked, I just do not see the value."

Lets accept one thing, there is no money for United to spend this season. They will definitely not be buying in January. They have numerous young talented players in the under 18s and reserve squads who will make it good in the 1st team soon.I don't expect United to win titles in the next one two seasons but they will definitely have a title winning squad in the 2011 - 2012 season.
