Barcelona will not consider the sale of Gabriel Milito in the New Year.

Former club Real Zaragoza are keen to take the fit-again defender back from the Camp Nou in January, but his agent insists Pep Guardiola will use the 29-year-old throughout the campaign.

"Yes, Zaragoza asked if there is the possibility of a transfer,” Eduardo Gamarnik told RAC1. "But Guardiola is counting on him for this season and is sure he'll be fine."

Milito has some fierce competition to get into the Barca side this season, particularly since the summer arrival of Ukrainian international Dmytro Chygrynskiy.
