Manchester United Football Club are stunned by CSKA Moscow’s valuation of Igor Akinfeev.

It is no secret that Sir Alex Ferguson is looking at long-term replacements for Edwin van der Sar, having seen Ben Foster and Tomasz Kuszczak fail to impress.

It has been widely reported that Russian international Akinfeev is the Old Trafford manager’s first choice, with the Reds rating him at £14million.

However, according to reports the Premier League champions are set to look elsewhere for a goalkeeper, having learned of CSKA’s whopping valuation of £25million.
