Wigan Athletic face losing Figueroa
Sunderland Football Club are said to be determined to land Maynor Figueroa.
Black Cats manager Steve Bruce introduced the Honduran international to the Premier League during his time in charge of Wigan Athletic, when he snapped him up on loan in 2008.
A permanent deal soon followed, and when the former Manchester United skipper left the DW Stadium for the Stadium of Light in the summer, he made the 26-year-old a top target.
Despite not playing this season due to a knee injury, the Sunday Sun claim Bruce still wants to sign Figueroa in the New Year, with an offer of £5million being lined up.
