Barcelona have been installed as new favourites to sign David Silva.

The Spanish international has been linked with moves to Liverpool and Manchester United in recent months, which at one point made a move to the Premier League look likely.

However, it is being reported in Spain that Barca coach Pep Guardiola, who tried to sign Silva in the summer, is set to pipe the English duo to his signature in the winter.

Valencia are said to be in debt to the tune of €550million, and they are set to sit down with the European Champions to discuss the sale of the 23-year-old in January.
