Harry Redknapp insists a top four finish is within Tottenham Hotspur’s capability.

A stunning 9-1 win over Wigan Athletic on Sunday sees Spurs in pole position for the final UEFA Champions League spot, at this early stage of the season.

And Redknapp sees no reason why his players cannot keep hold of this placing for the rest of the campaign, although he knows there is some stiff competition.

"Anything other than a European place would be a big disappointment," he said. "We only missed out by one point last season - but it's not impossible to finish in the top four.

"There are one or two other teams, but any one of Manchester City, Aston Villa and ourselves I think have got a chance of breaking into the top four. Why can't it be done?"
