Nicky Shorey will see out 2009 at Nottingham Forest Football Club.

The England international cap has struggled to force his way into the Aston Villa starting eleven, since moving to the Midlands club from Reading in the summer of 2008.

His plight worsened this summer when Stephen Warnock was signed from Blackburn Rovers, which only saw his chances of an automatic start decrease.

Shorey has now agreed a loan deal at Championship side Forest until the end of December, although Villa have the option to recall him after 28 days.
