Gareth Bale is an ambitious target for Nottingham Forest Football Club.

The Wales international has endured a difficult time at Tottenham Hotspur since his move from Southampton, and he is currently out-of-favour.

Reports in the Mirror claim ambitious Championship side Forest are plotting a £3million for Bale, who may be reluctant to drop down a division.

However, City Ground chief Billy Davies has high hopes for the two-times European Cup holders, and his priority this season is to return the club to the Premier League.

Forest have signed Nicky Shorey on loan from Aston Villa, but this is only until the end of December and may not be extended if Bale can be added.
