Ruud van Nistelrooy could move to Fenerbahce in the New Year, despite speculation linking him with a sensational return to the Premier League.

The Dutch international is desperate for regular first team football this season, as he looks to force his way into the Holland setup for the World Cup Finals.

Formerly of Manchester United, the 33-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at Real Madrid, and admits he may have to leave the Bernabeu in January.

A return to England has been mooted, with Tottenham Hotspur and even Liverpool interested, but Fenerbahce have now added van Nistelrooy to their wanted list and are eager to lure him to Turkey.
