Davis won’t rush Bolton Wanderers return
Sean Davis is unlikely to play for Bolton Wanderers Football Club again this season.
The 30-year-old joined the Whites from Portsmouth in the summer, but he managed just three appearances before being struck down with a knee injury.
It was hopeful that the midfielder would return to action towards the end of the season, but David accepts he is unlikely to figure until the 2010/11 campaign.
"I know I am not going to play again this season," he told The Bolton News. "To have had an injury for this long, I would rather see it out and be 100 per cent for pre-season.
“Hopefully, if everything goes right, I should be back in April, but I don't want to rush it. If everything is going well then, fine, but I don't want to have an operation and then mess it up.
“It would be pointless. I want to play everything by the book."
