The 27-year-old is enjoying an impressive season for Rangers, with the highlight of his campaign perhaps coming, surprisingly in a 2-0 defeat to Stuttgart this week.

Alexandre Hleb, formerly of Arsenal, claimed after the match that the performance of McGregor suggested he is good enough to make the move to the English Premier League.

And reports in the Scottish Sun claim Hammers boss Gianfranco Zola is plotting a £4million bid for the goalkeeper, which would likely see the sale of Robert Green from Upton Park.
