Aston Villa Football Club could make a move for Miguel in the New Year.

The Portugal international has been frozen out of Valencia’s plans in recent weeks, and Super Deporte claim he could ask for a transfer in January.

It is believed Martin O’Neill has had the 29-year-old, who turns 30 during the winter window, watched this season, and could make a move for the player.

However, Tottenham Hotspur are also said to be interested in Miguel, who usually plays at right fullback but can also operate with equal success in midfield.
