Arsenal manager confirms Gibbs blow
10:12 AM 28 November, 2009
Arsenal Football Club’s Kieran Gibbs has been ruled out for three months.

Making his comeback from a foot injury, the England Under-21 international broke a metatarsal in the closing stages of the win against Standard Liege in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.

This is a huge blow to the Gunners who are already without France international Gael Clichy, and Wenger has confirmed Gibbs will be out for three months.

“The surgeon gave us a good report that he did not need any metal in his foot," he said. "The first metatarsal is broken, which is very rare. He will be out for at least three months."
