Bacary Sagna has called for Arsenal to find a solution to the absence of Robin van Persie.

The Dutch international forward was having the season of his life before picking up an ankle injury for Holland, which threatens to rule him out for the season.

A 3-0 defeat to Chelsea leaves the Gunners trailing their London rivals by eleven points, and Sagna insists they must find a solution to van Persie’s absence to save their season.

"It was like our match against Sunderland, we could not really create any opportunities,” he told L’Equipe. "The absence of van Persie has weighed a lot, we have to find a solution.”
