Luca Toni’s agent has rubbished speculation linking the striker with Roma.

The Italian international looks certain to leave Bayern Munich in the winter after falling out with coach Louis van Gaal, but reports of a move to the Giallorossi are wide of the mark.

“I have not had any contact from Roma directors. Therefore there has not been any basis regarding a deal," Tulio Tinti told LaRoma24.it. "At the moment there is nothing new with Toni's situation."

Toni, 32, is eager to cement a move away from the Bundesliga during the January window, as he looks to nail down his place in the Italy squad for the World Cup Finals.
