Manchester City won’t be held to ransom in Bentley bid
Manchester City Football Club will not pay over the odds for David Bentley.
Mark Hughes is a big fan of the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, who played the best football of his career under the leadership of the Welshman at Blackburn Rovers.
Bentley has suffered a huge dip in form following his £15million move to White Hart Lane last summer, and Harry Redknapp is willing to offload him to raise funds.
City are said to be keen to take the former Arsenal in youngster, however, reports suggest they are reluctant to meet Spurs asking price of £12.5million.
