Stoke City rue Whitehead suspension
06:00 PM 02 December, 2009
Stoke City Football Club will be without Dean Whitehead on Saturday.

The Potters travel to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal at the weekend, but they do so without Whitehead who sits out the clash through suspension after accumulating five bookings.

This is a blow to Tony Pulis, who believes the midfielder produced his best performance for the club in the goalless draw at Blackburn Rovers last weekend.

“I thought Dean produced possibly the best game he has had for us and although he missed two good chances, at the same time when we were tiring a bit at the end,” he told the official club site.

"Obviously, it will be a blow to lose him for the Arsenal match, but we have players waiting in the wings to come in and show us what they can do. So it will be an opportunity for someone.”
