Madjid Bougherra has played down speculation linking him with Tottenham Hotspur.

Harry Redknapp reportedly wants the Algerian international to bolster his back-four in the New Year, but the 27-year-old insists he is happy to continue with Rangers for the time being.

“You can never swear to anything in football because everything can change, but I do not intend to leave Rangers. I feel good at this club, I have always said I like stability,” said Bougherra.

“I intend to finish the season here. The year has ended well for me with the qualification for the World Cup and hopefully the season will end as well with Rangers winning the title again.”
