Should Arsenal move for Robert Green?
Isn’t it about time Arsenal Football Club bought a goalkeeper of genuine quality?
Manuel Almunia has been the Gunners number one since the departure of Jens Lehmann, but whilst the Spaniard at times looks the part, he has failed to convince many fans.
Amongst these is club goalscoring legend Ian Wright who, writing in his column in The Sun earlier this week, suggested it was time Arsene Wenger brought in a replacement.
"I think our midfield and defence is fine but the goalkeeper situation worries me,” he commented. "Manuel Almunia is a good No 2 but not a first-choice keeper for a club looking to win titles.”
One goalkeeper likely to be available is England’s Green, and with West Ham United believed to be prepared to sell for £6million, should Arsene Wenger make his move?
