Portsmouth look to offer Benjani return
Benjani could be offered the chance to return to Portsmouth Football Club.
The 31-year-old Zimbabwean international shot to fame in England when he joined Pompey from Auxerre in January 2006, in a deal which cost the Fratton Park club £4.1million.
After a slow start the striker eventually found his form in the Premier League, and he joined Manchester City two years later when Sven Goran Eriksson snapped him up.
However, such has been the rapid progress at Eastlands that Benjani is well down the pecking order, and Avram Grant is looking to take him back to Fratton Park according to The Mirror.
It won’t necessarily be an inevitable transfer though, as Bolton Wanderers are also keen on the player, which would offer him the chance to remain in the North West.
