Harry Redknapp is aware of the talented playmaker from his time as manager of Portsmouth, when he signed the player on loan in January 2006.

Despite trying to keep the player at Fratton Park on a permanent basis, the Wolfsburg star eventually headed to Spain with Real Zaragoza.

Now plying his trade for Internacional, D’Alessandro last month claimed Spurs were amongst a glut of clubs from around Europe interested in signing him.

And according to the Daily Mail, Redknapp could indeed make a move for the 28-year-old when the winter transfer window reopens next month.
