Robbie Blake hopes to earn a new contract at Burnley Football Club.

The 33-year-old crowd favourite, who scored the winning goal against Manchester United in August, is out of contract in the summer, but he hopes to be offered new terms to remain at Turf Moor.

“I'm up at the end of the season and hopefully something can get sorted out soon. I have not really had talks so far, nothing has been said," Blake said.

"But, fingers crossed, I can impress enough to get a new deal. I am just delighted to be playing in a good side. The gaffer has given me the chance to go and express myself.

“Hopefully I can do that for a few more years. I don't want this to stop. I want to keep coming up against the best players in the world on a weekly basis."
