Ben Foster looks likely to leave Manchester United Football Club in January.

The 26-year-old is eager to win the number one jersey for England ahead of the World Cup Finals, but he has fallen to third choice goalkeeper at Old Trafford.

The Mirror claim Sir Alex Ferguson is prepared to let Foster leave in the New Year in order for him to get the regular first team football to impress Fabio Capello.

It remains to be seen who will make a move for the talented shot-stopper, but the early favourites are perhaps Sunderland, where Craig Gordon is sidelined with injury.
