Danny Simpson looks certain to extend his stay at Newcastle United Football Club.

The 22-year-old defender has been impressive at St James Park this season, having joined the club from Manchester United in a loan deal.

This is set to expire on January 1, but it is believed a verbal agreement is in place which would allow the player to extend his stay if he impresses for the Magpies.

Simpson has played fifteen times in the Championship this season, and he has played his part in making Chris Hughton’s defence the meanest in the division.
