Avram Grant plans to take two players from Chelsea Football Club in the New Year.

The former Stamford Bridge coach is in a relegation scrap with Portsmouth this season, a situation which was boosted by the 2-0 win over Burnley on Saturday afternoon.

It is being reported in the News of the World that Grant is seeking a favour off his old club, who showed him the door despite being a John Terry penalty kick away from being European champions.

The Israeli hopes to take Brazilian defender Juliano Belletti and Daniel Sturridge from the Londoners, in loan deals that would see them see out the season at Fratton Park.
