Benjani refuses to leave Manchester City
Benjani is refusing to leave Manchester City, despite being way down the pecking order.
The likes of Emmanuel Adebayor, Carlos Tevez, Roque Santa Cruz and Craig Bellamy are all ahead of the Zimbabwean star, who has yet to make an appearance in the Premier League this season.
Bolton Wanderers and former club Portsmouth have been linked with Benjani ahead of the January transfer window, but the 31-year-old is refusing to leave Eastlands.
"I am not going anywhere and I am going to put up a fight to ensure that I get my place,” he told Zimbabwean weekly The Standard. "I still have a contract with Manchester City.
"I have had injuries. And every player goes through this phase. It will soon be over. I am not bothered about which club is after me because I am still a Manchester City player."
