Arsenal Football Club are said to be having second thoughts over Andre-Pierre Gignac.

Arsene Wenger is eager to sign a new striker in the New Year, a situation which has increased following the injury which is set to rule Robin van Persie out for five months.

One of the French coach’s main targets is compatriot Gignac, who top scored in Ligue 1 for Toulouse last season and has become a regular in Les Bleus squad.

However, The Mirror suggest Wenger is having second thoughts about making a bid for the 24-year-old, having learned his club want £15million for his signature.
