Campbell would love to play for Manchester United
08:30 PM 09 December, 2009
Sol Campbell admits he would love to join Manchester United Football Club.

The veteran defender is available on a free transfer after agreeing his release from Notts County, and he is currently training with former club Arsenal to keep fit.

It has been suggested that United are lining up an offer for him due to their injury-riddled defence, and the 35-year-old admits he would jump at the chance of a move to Old Trafford.

"I have heard nothing officially from Manchester United, but there have been suggestions and of course, it would be a great move for me, if it happens," Campbell told ESPN.

"I shall just have to wait and see if a call comes through the right channels. Of course I would love to play for Manchester United, but I am not counting any chickens, just waiting to see what happens.”
