Everton Football Club hope keep hold of Louis Saha.

The French striker has been a revelation at Goodison Park since he arrived from Manchester United last summer, but his deal runs out at the end of the season.

Atletico Madrid are lining up an offer to take the player to Spain in the New Year, but David Moyes is hopeful Saha will decide to remain on Merseyside.

"We've been speaking to him," said Moyes. "We are happy with him and we want to keep him. But we know the situation. He is free to talk to other clubs from January."
