Roberto Martinez is proud of his Wigan Athletic Football Club players after they picked up a point on the road at the Britannia Stadium.

The Latics actually led Stoke City twice, and although Hugo Rodallega missed a late penalty which could have won the game, Martinez told Sky Sports he was happy with the performance.

“Just looking at the performance it's very, very pleasing,” he said. “The way we finished the game and the way we finished the last 10 minutes speaks volumes of the performance.

"I was really proud of the way we played and went about our business. Today we had to deal with many different things that went against us.”
