McCarthy: Wolves worthy of White Hart Lane win
Mick McCarthy feels his Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club side fully deserve the three points at White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon.
A Kevin Doyle goal early on was enough to sink high-flying Tottenham Hotspur in London, a result which lifts the Premier League new-boys out of the bottom three.
"The players were magnificent for 96 minutes," McCarthy told Sky Sports.
"It's a bit of hand in glove, when we play well they (the fans) get the benefit from it and when we're holding on we get the benefit from their fabulous support.
"We did hang on, but I think we deserved our victory."
