Marton Fulop has played down speculation linking him with Aston Villa Football Club.

It has been suggested that Martin O’Neill wants to sign the Sunderland goalkeeper in the New Year, but the Hungarian insists he is paying little attention to the link.

"I don't care about gossip, I don't know where it has come from," Fulop told skysports.com. "I just want to concentrate on Sunderland, I want to win as many games as possible, next time on Tuesday.

"I just focus on football and not on the weekly transfer rumours - which are far from the truth - about me. I have a contract with Sunderland, I respect this and at the moment I feel very good.”
