James Milner has been singled out for praise by Aston Villa Football Club boss Martin O’Neill.

The England international was on target in the 2-0 win over Sunderland on Tuesday, and O’Neill feels the player is performing superbly in the heart of the midfield.

“He's playing magnificently," said the Villa boss to Sky Sports.

"He's playing with a great confidence and I think that shows in his game. That is maybe his fourth or fifth start in the centre of midfield and you would have thought he had played 100 times in there."
