Sunderland boss slams Hughes sacking
Steve Bruce can’t believe Manchester City Football Club have sacked Mark Hughes.
Speaking after his Sunderland side lost to Hughes’ Blues on Saturday afternoon, the former Manchester United defender spoke of his surprise that his pal has been axed.
“You can't build clubs in 18 months or one transfer window, you need a bit of time," Bruce told Sky Sports. "It's got to stop. What the hell's the point spending years getting (coaching) badges and qualifications when you only get six months in the job?"
City have only lost twice in the Premier League this season and are ninety minutes away from their first cup final since 1981, but this hasn’t stopped them replacing Hughes with Roberto Mancini.
