Sunderland Football Club are being linked with a move for Titus Bramble.

The former Newcastle United flop played the best football of his career under Steve Bruce at Wigan Athletic, who he is currently contracted to.

Reports in the Sunday Mirror claim Bruce now wants to take the 28-year-old back to the north east of England, as he looks to bolster his Black Cats rearguard.

It is being suggested that the Stadium of Light club will bid £6million for Bramble, but Latics boss Roberto Martinez insists none of his star players will leave in January.
