Marlon Harewood is keen to extend his stay at Newcastle United Football Club.

The powerful striker is well down the pecking order at Premier League high-fliers Aston Villa, who shipped him off to St James Park for a loan spell earlier this season.

The Magpies are running away with the Championship this season, and Harewood has played his part having found the back of the net five times in fourteen appearances.

Although the 30-year-old is expected back in the Midlands after Boxing Day, the Evening Chronicle claim he has already made his mind up that he wants to extend his stay on Tyneside.
