Real Madrid are said to be interested in signing Branislav Ivanovic.

The Serbian international took his time settling in at Chelsea following his move in January 2008, but he has made eleven appearances under Carlo Ancelotti this season.

Marca claim Real, who are eager to bolster their defensive options for the second half of the season, are keen to take the 25-year-old during the winter transfer window.

Ivanovic, though, would not be eligible to play for Los Blancos in the UEFA Champions League and, besides, the FA Cup holders would likely resist any offers to offload him.
