Manchester City star sheds no tears over Hughes axe
Martin Petrov doesn’t appear to be too upset over Mark Hughes’s recent dismissal as manager of Manchester City Football Club.
The Welsh coach was axed by the Blues last weekend, and he was immediately replaced by Roberto Mancini, who began his reign with a 2-0 win over Stoke City on Boxing Day.
Petrov scored the opening goal of the game and he will now expect to keep his place, which was something that didn’t happen too many times under Hughes.
"Every time I score, I go to the bench!" he told the club's official website. "Now is not the time to speak about my situation. In the past six months too many things have happened with me.
“Maybe in the future I will speak 100 per cent.
"But what he was doing with me I think was unfair."
