Radomir Antic has advised Real Madrid to swoop for Branislav Ivanovic.

Former Luton Town midfielder Antic coaches the tough defender in is role as Serbia coach, and he is unsurprised to hear of Real’s reported interest in signing him.

It is believed the Spanish giants will make a January move for Ivanovic, who is out of contract with Chelsea at the end of next season, although the Blues are preparing a new deal.

“He is very physical and is always composed," said Antic of the former Lokomotiv Moscow defender, who cost the Londoners over £9million. "He has the ability to play for Real Madrid."
