David Nugent is eager to play against Everton Football Club on Monday.

The England international cap is on loan at Burnley from Portsmouth, and after scoring against Bolton Wanderers on Boxing Day, he hopes to keep his place in the Clarets side.

"Everyone knows I'm an Everton fan, but I'm a Burnley player now and hope something can be sorted out as soon as possible so I can stay," said Nugent.

"The gaffer gave me a chance in the starting line-up and I hope I did enough to keep my place. Around 25 of my family and friends are going to the game and I'd love to be involved."
