Fiorentina are set to enter the race to sign Fernando Gago.

The midfielder is concerned by his lack of action for Spanish giants Real Madrid this season, which he fears could cost him his place in Argentina’s World Cup squad.

Gago has started just twice in La Liga this term, with another two appearances from the bench, and Everton boss David Moyes has been linked with making a loan offer for his signature.

However, according to La Nazione, Italian side Fiorentina are also willing to enter the race for the 23-year-old, who was formerly of Boca Juniors in his homeland.
