Zenit St Petersburg are willing to take a chance on Liverpool Football Club’s Andrea Dossena.

Rafael Benitez paid £7million to take the Italian fullback from Udinese in the summer of 2008, but the player has failed to settle in England.

Dossena had been heavily linked with a return to Serie A with Napoli in the New Year, but his agent recently revealed a potential move has since broken down.

However, the Daily Mail claim Zenit are prepared to take a chance on the 28-year-old, but the Russians are prepared to pay just £2million for his signature.
