Marek Hamsik will not be joining Chelsea Football Club in the New Year.

The Blues have had their transfer embargo temporarily lifted, and despite his words to the contrary, Carlo Ancelotti is expected to spend heavily this month.

One of his reported targets is Napoli midfield player Hamsik, but the sporting director of the Serie A side insists the Slovakian international will not be changing clubs.

"The player will not be going anywhere," Riccardo Bigon revealed to Il Mattino, according to a report on TuttoNapoli.net. "He thinks along the same lines as us."
