Sunderland eye £4million Hutton capture
12:00 PM 02 January, 2010
Sunderland Football Club are set to make an offer for Alan Hutton.

The Scotland international joined Tottenham Hotspur two years ago in a deal worth around £5million, at a time when Manchester United were rumoured to want the Rangers star.

However, Hutton has struggled with injuries and a lack of form at White Hart Lane, and he is said to be one of a handful of players Harry Redknapp is willing to offload.

According to the Daily Mail, Black Cats boss Steve Bruce is plotting an offer of £4million for the 25-year-old right-back, who has made just one Premier League start this season.
