Blackburn Rovers keen on Pompey ace Boateng
06:45 PM 02 January, 2010
Blackburn Rovers Football Club have taken a fancy in Kevin-Prince Boateng.

The midfielder joined Portsmouth from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer for a fee of around £4million, and he has been one of the few plus points in a disastrous season.

Avram Grant insists Pompey must keep all their key players if they are to avoid relegation, but their finances are such that any bids would have to be considered.

According to the News, Sam Allardyce is keen to add Boateng to his Rovers side during the winter window, and is preparing an offer to take him north.

However, the deal is unlikely to be as straightforward as that, as the Ewood Park club are also in a position which requires them to sell before they can bid for players.
