Carlo Ancelotti has hit back at suggestions made by Jose Mourinho that the current Chelsea Football Club side is still largely his own.

As the Portuguese coach prepares to return to Stamford Bridge with his Inter Milan side in the UEFA Champions League, he has spoken of his former players as if they are still his own.

However, Ancelotti has hit back at The Special One, by insisting the team is neither his nor his own, but that of the Russian billionaire owner Roman Abramovich.

“It's the team of Roman Abramovich,” he said. "It's not mine, it's Roman Abramovich's. Mourinho had the honour to train this club and I do too. This team is Roman Abramovich's team."
