Tottenham Hotspur line up £12million Richards bid
01:30 PM 04 January, 2010
Tottenham Hotspur Football Club are reportedly lining up a bid for Micah Richards.

The powerful defender was rated as one of the brightest prospects in England when he burst onto the scene at Manchester City in 2005, but his progress since has been slow.

Indeed, Richards earned eleven caps for England but is only regarded an outside chance for Fabio Capello’s squad for the World Cup Finals in South Africa.

According to the Daily Express, Harry Redknapp is keen to give the 21-year-old a change of scenery, and is plotting a £12million bid to take him to White Hart Lane.

It remains doubtful, though, that Roberto Mancini would let him leave so early in his regime at Eastlands, as there is no doubting the player has the ability to become a fine player.

Wow. Great article: 'this could happen, then again, it may not.'
