McCarthy ready to bid for Kilgallon
Matthew Kilgallon is on Mick McCarthy’s radar at Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club.
The former Leeds United defender is currently under contract at Sheffield United, but this deal expires at the end of the season and he is unlikely to sign fresh terms.
The Blades are keen to keep Kilgallon for the rest of the campaign regardless, but they would have to listen to any offers which are tabled during the winter window.
Newcastle United have already had an offer rejected for the 25-year-old, and the Daily Mail claim Wolves are about to make a bid to take him to Molineux.
The Premier League new-boys are on course to retain their top-flight status, but McCarthy is determined to bolster a back four which has conceded 36 times so far.
