Chelsea Football Club have been linked with a move for Emile Heskey.

Despite Carlo Ancelotti reiterated his stance that no new strikers will be signed during the winter, the Blues continue to be linked with a number of players.

Just last week Giampaolo Pazzini, the Sampdoria star, was heavily linked, and now the Mail on Sunday claim Heskey, 31, has emerged as a shock target.

The England international is struggling to nail down a regular start in the Aston Villa side, and he fears this could disadvantage his chances of making the World Cup Finals.

It is being suggested that Ancelotti wants Heskey as soon as possible to counter the absence of African Cup of Nations bound Didier Drogba, and a £4million bid could soon be made.
