Harry Redknapp has been heavily linked with a move for the England international this month, as he looks to add yet more quality to his White Hart Lane options.

Richards, whilst improving his form greatly during recent weeks, is believed to be a player Manchester City are prepared to listen to offers for.

However, the Daily Mail claim Redknapp has put his interest in the 21-year-old on hold, as he first looks to sign a goalkeeper, a midfielder and possibly a striker.
